Trama:
Emilia aveva vissuto la sua intera vita ad essere l’ombra di
Ophelia, la santa Ophelia, la figlia dell’Arciduca a cui era stata venduta da
piccola. Le due erano sempre insieme e fino alla morte di Ophelia nessuno aveva
mai realmente pensato a Emilia come essere a se stante e chi pensava a lei
finiva con il litigare con Ophelia e il suo assurdo controllo su tutti. Emilia
era la sua serva principale, chi si occupava di tutto e che singolarmente aveva
dovuto gestire capricci, malattia e desideri di una sempre più instabile
ragazzina viziata, ma non le importava, le piaceva stare con Ophelia e le
piaceva vederla sorridere. Era il suo tutto e lo sapeva benissimo. Emilia,
reincarnata nella novel come cattiva per una protagonista che apparirà dopo il
diciassettesimo compleanno di lei e Ophelia, non ha molta voglia di litigare
contro Ophelia, specie perché sa meglio di tutti che la morte di Ophelia è
vicina. Ciò che nessuno si aspettava però è l’impatto che la sparizione di
